round 1.5 with FLAME!

last weekend i visited flame at pat field’s to try some purp in my hair! i wanted to add a lil something to break up all the platinum – something to make people go – wait – wha?!

i chose violet/purple because the shampoo and conditioner i’ve been using, shimmering lights for blonde/silver tone, has this purple color.

when you leave it in your hair prior to washing, it gives it this awesome tint. so i asked flame to help me do a strand test!

he added in two shades of purple – violet and deeper purple. we weren’t sure if the violet would catch on enough to my hair, so we tested out both colors.

we chatted more about random shit… i asked him if he wore purple for today’s special occasion hahahhaa! he said no, but what a coincidence huh??

et voila!

turns out the lighter violet DID catch on to the blond so i was really happy about that. the deeper purple is great, but i REALLY LOVE the violet, i’m thinking i’ll have to get the whole head done up like that!

*after the accident, i’m left with this really weird scar under my eye – looks like i’ve been wearing those granny sunglasses out in the sun too long eh? hahahah

ANYWAY, so i’ve realized that having a full head of bleached hair is a lot of maintenance, plus the fact that i have really short hair. so i’m going to be visiting flame a TON more to let him handle my roots and do my shape ups (line ups, what we say in the bay). i’m ok with that though – the way i am with hair is the way most of you are with your makeup or face hehe – a constant up keep. i’m still going to go back sometime next week to go a little bit more platinum to rid all the yellow/bronzy tint and i’m thinking that will be the time i’ll decide whether or not to go full headed violet! we shall seeeeee!!!!
