the best filipino food in queens
around roosevelt and 69th st in queens ny, you’ll find a bunch of flip restaurants and indian restaurants and all KINDS of ethnic restaurants, but most of all, flip restaurants hehehee. and i’m talkin like AUTHENTIC shit.
so louise and i drove up to flame’s place to check out one of filipino joints because he’s been talking sooooo much about it, we just HAD to. and when we got there, it was just like “home” again lol.
we met flame’s doggies too – i don’t remember all their names -DOH! but we also met his friend rachelle, from aruba, who joined us in our filipino food adventure.
we walked over to krystal’s cafe and were greeted by the aroma of baked goods, vinegars, and sweet goodness. we headed upstairs and ordered the following:
- pork and chicken adobo
- bbq pork
- pancit sotanghon
- lumpia
- bangus (fried milkfish)
- beefsteak
- mango and calamansi juice
- and for dessert – halo halo!
IHAWAN FTW!!
Aaaww man, those looks so freakin good
