flip food for the flip girls + 1 chinagurl + 1 jew LOL
lawn‘s in town again (for 2 weeks this time!).
we decided to rally up the troops and head out for some good filipino food in the city. i haven’t heard of grill 21 before, and usually i’ll just go to turo-turo since that was the only filipino spot i knew of outside of queens, but this one (grill 21) was better than turo-turo in my opinion.
louise and i met up with lawn who was sitting outside with the cutest dog ever, his name was sammy. for a minute i thought lawn had gotten a new dog bahahahaha! turns out it belonged to the owner, who was actually some white dude who knew how to speak tagalog!
- halo halo
- leche flan
- biniguan (not diniguan)
- kare kare
- garlic fried rice
- sisig
- sinigang na baboy
- kerin also came by and ate like a bad jew LOL
- all of us – ew my arm looks FAT
- wendy arrived
- 21st between 1st ave and 2nd ave
- the owner gave lawn this book to read while she waited for us
so if you guys are ever in the mood for decent filipino food (and don’t want to trek all the way over to queens) then get your asses over to grill 21: 346 e 21st st between 1st ave and 2nd ave.
thanks for the top pic wendy! hehe
duuude all this talk about food is killin me mayn! my friend and i were talking about driving up to nyc to visit jolibee and i told her about ihawan — from your post hehee — and now THIS! love it! mmmmm man now i’m craving sisig… oh gawd and some sinigang na baboy…. and oh geez that halo halo looks so tempting…
