my new thinksound headphones…

Posted in Fashion, Nerd Alert by yoshi on March 5, 2010

after almost a year and a half of using my busted, old, white apple ear plugs/headphones, i’ve finally been given some new ones! a friend of mine saw a photo of me sporting the old joints and decided it was time for me to step up my head phone game.

so a few days later i received these thinksound headphones!

a little bit about thinksound:

Clear Sound with a Clearer Conscience
thinksound™ began with a simple goal; to create incredible sounding headphones with the smallest eco-footprint possible. Our headphones are made with real wood, creating a more natural resonance and unparalleled acoustics…..

Our Green Initiative
thinksound™ headphones are designed with the following features to reduce its overall environmental impact:

  • Wood is from renewable sources
  • Packaging is made from recycled materials
  • Bleach-free packaging materials
  • Smaller packaging size = less materials used
  • Elimination of plastic bubble insert
  • Cotton carrying pouch is sewn from renewable sources
  • PVC-free cables

now, if you’re wondering about the sound quality, let’s just say i can finally hear out of my left ear (formerly thought i was going deaf), i can block out all the outside noise, and my ear holes are apparently TINY – i had to use the smallest gel tip thingies! so yes, i say these would be worth the investment – plus you’re going green! average price point ranges from $74.99 – $99.99.

i’m a sucker for packaging and minor details… two thumbs up!

thank you mike! visit THINKSOUND for more colors and types!
