home decor: the new apartment… its getting there!

so many of you have been requesting photos of my new place! so here you go. FINALLY bought more furniture for the new place (literally moved in with nothing but a futon, a mattress, and a few bookshelves lol. still more progress to be made, but its almost there!

if any of you have any suggestions on where i can some vintage/antique street signs from all over the world – please let me know! i know, i’ll probably have to get out and start “picking” lol. my theme? trying to go for the whole “global traveller” look – basically i want my apartment to be a reflection of mine and the bf’s lives since we both had the privilege of traveling abroad before settling here in new york =)

we STILL don’t have any idea where to keep all our bikes… we’re thinking of hanging one upside down from the ceiling next to the DJ/music “nook,” the rest… undecided – WAH!

i didn’t take any photos of the bedroom and bathroom because those are still being worked on.

and if you’re wondering about my moped, its still at the shop getting some work done and i stil have to get it registered before i can actually ride it around town – my ass is DREADING to go to the DMV to get all that done so yea… might be a while bahahaha – anyway, its freezing out so i’m in noooo rush =)

we have hella of the same furniture. lol gotta love ikea! my whole apartment looks like it should be in an ikea ad.

the apartment looks good jess! looks nice and cozy but roomy!

Nice! Apartment is coming together very well. Can you paint? Maybe you could do an accent wall to make the living room/dining room pop!

also for your curtains…I don’t know if you didn’t wanna go through the drama of drilling holes to hang up the rods…but there are what I use..tension rods… they are sooo simples and easy and work!

The living room is quite big. To get more space, change to big LCD TV and stick to the wall.
