stalker style: peacoat and boots…

Posted in Stalker Style by yoshi on January 21, 2011

i’m going to start a new section of my blog called “stalker style” because almost everyday i come across individuals with great style – well DUH, nyc has VERY stylish people =)

however, i’m not one to say “excuse me, can i take your photo because your outfit is dope.” no no, i’d rather take a pic with my iphone and pray that my flash/sound is off so i don’t get caught.

i saw this girl on the N train… the pic doesn’t do her peacoat justice, its much more vibrant and colorful in person, hints of reds, blues, and greens fit right into the mustard yellow. i also really loved her boots, they were lined with wool i think? some kind of soft furry stuff.

long time reader, much respect, but i really think you should be asking for consent when you take these photos, especially with a high traffic blog like yours. it’s just creepy and downright not cool to find a picture of yourself up on the internet that was taken without you even knowing. ladies gotta have each others backs, what’s the harm in asking?

ok – thanks and noted – maybe i failed to mention that i complimented the girl on her coat very politely?

and may i ask for your opinion as you’ve given me yours, how does this post differ from other “street style” blogs that feature people “on the go?” (and i’m not talking the ones where individuals are actually posing!)

i feel the same way about those street style blogs. it’s just that much better when everyone is on board. plus piping up about a blogs intentions can only bring that blog more traffic, and the subject would probably feel pretty awesome to knowingly be featured.
