snow, twilight, and dinner at carmine’s…

last night wendy, lawn, vern and i ventured out through the snow, rain, sleet mix to enjoy a hearty dinner at the italian restaurant, carmine‘s. lawn’s in town for a few days for some meetings, wendy is back fresh from her trip to italy, and vern is also back from her mini vaca with lawn lol.

after work i met lawn at her hotel in midtown and we decided to watch some tv and guess what was on!!! TWILIGHT!!!

we left to meet up with wendy at bryant park and the sidewalks and roads were sooooo slippery and slushy!!! but bryant park was really beautiful…

the three of us then headed over to carmine’s to meet up with vern and get our grub on – we were STARVING, luckily we made reservations and they seated us right away – holler!

at carmine’s, you eat family style, similar to buca di beppo (also yummmmers). we ordered calamari, penne pasta with rigatoni sauce, and chicken parmesean. uhm… it was too much food, but very tasty and satisfying. the breaded seasoning was absolutely mouth watering – you didn’t really need any marinara to top the calamari nor the chicken because it was just that good on its own!

for dessert we ordered some italian ricotta cheesecake. it was sooooo thick. personally not my favorite, but it was dessert nonetheless! between the 4 of us, we didn’t even finish half of it!
