1. App Magnets

Yes please. $12.99 at

2. CONCEPT: Wind-up Batteries to recharge

I wonder how many twists you’d need to make in order to get these re-charged… let’s see if it actually makes it to production!

3. “3-D” Bookshelf

Kindova waste of space, but a cool idea nontheless – would you? (I wouldn’t).

via Gizmodo

4. Solowheel

This looks a lot less nerdy than that awful segway – I’d totally try this!

via Ubergizmo

5. Make Yourself an Android

This is the only reason I would get an android phone and ditch the iphone (ok I lie lol)

1. Pose App

You know how when you’re shopping alone and find an item that your 50/50 on purchasing and quickly text all your friends “hey should i buy this?!” Well now there’s an app called Pose that you can use to share all the info and get comments on right away! I think i will download… and done!

2. Nose Job without the Surgery?

via Engadget

3. iPhone Camera Mic

Download this Camera Mic App to use your mic as a trigger for your camera! I’m not sure, when you would really need to use this feature… I’m thinking now… yea, idk, but I’m sure it will come in handy. Thoughts?

4. Huang ChienChang’s Interactive Portfolio

Might be a little buggy now, been up for some time, but nonetheless, this guy’s portfolio is pretty awesome. I’d hire him in a heartbeat! Plus he’s not too bad on the eyes *wink wink

5. Tall Painting

This trippy video of artists pouring cups of different colored paint over a square piece of wood is actually very visually stimulating. The idea is so simple, but the outcome is a trip… automatic like.

i bought myself a new tv (panasonic viera 37″ LED) along with an xbox 360 and kinect… oh yea, i got rumba too – BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! time to get my ass into shape!

if you follow me on twitter, you may have noticed that i was getting tweet help from xbox support. apparently the bf forgot he changed the password to our wireless and didn’t realize it until the 3rd hour of troubleshooting FML! once hooked up to xbox live to get the necessary updates, it was ON!

needless to say, i’m pretty sore this morning…

now all i need to is to switch my cable box to HD and the dance central game, and i think we’re all set!

Posted in Blogosphere, Nerd Alert by yoshi on January 21, 2011

a while ago i had subscribed to Groupon to test some stuff at work… i then unsubscribed because really, i don’t want any more stupid emails.

when i clicked “unsubscribe” it directed me to their unsubscribe page. the video is actually pretty funny and the end frame ALMOST had me re-subscribe – very clever Groupon… verrrrrry clever.

1. Boiling water + -22 degree weather

I will try this… actually, maybe not. I don’t think I want to be anywhere near -22 degrees.

2. Bar of Soap Dispenser

Got some un-used bars of soap laying around? Well then get your hands on this dispenser thingy, kinda neat no?

3. Gummy Ears

These earphones by Sakar is tooooo cute! I wonder if they’ll actually fit in my ears…

via Source

4. Riplus Mouse

I quite like the simple design of this mouse. Not very practical since it looks like you can’t really scroll, but artistic nonetheless. I mean, its made of glass!

nerd alert: iphone rigs, electronic rosaries, and neck gear…

Posted in Nerd Alert by yoshi on January 8, 2011

1. Electronic Rosary

If you were raised Catholic like myself, then you already know how amazing this thing is. Now, as a child when I refused to participate in the rosary prayers, my parents still forced me to (ha), but instead of using the actual beads to count, I would use my fingers in protest. Anyway, looks like this little gadget even tells you the right prayer to say depending on what day you’re actually praying it. Maybe I’ll get this for my grandma… lmao

via Engadget

2. iRig Mic

Also, if you’re anything like my family, after praying the rosary, usually after X-mas gift opening or dinner, we generally spend the rest of the evening singing karaoke tunes. Hopefully this mic will lead into a iPhone compatible magic mic?!

3. Hands Free Sandwich Holder

via Ignored Prayers

4. iPhone Stand

Damn, just a step up from the hands free sandwich holder!

nerd alert: cheap gifts and a new digital business card…

Posted in Nerd Alert by yoshi on December 21, 2010

1) Old Fashioned iPhone

For all you retro-nostalgic heads, this might be a cool little gift. Now, I don’t actually know if you can pick up the handset and use it, because the damn site is in Korean, but the button acts like the main iPhone button so you can pause/play music, end/make calls, yadda yadda yadda. Kinda neat no?

via Ubergizmo

2) Paper Watch

Customize and doodle on your tear resistant digital watch! For about $15 USD, you can get these for your kids or someone who actually can draw – not me.

via Firebox

3) About Me

About Me is like a digital business card. Just a one page site that you can customize yourself! So easy! You can provide links to ALL your social networking platforms, I’m gonna try it out – so should you!

4) Cup-O-Everything

For $12.95 you can drink your coffee and listen to your music at the same time! Perfect gift for your caffeine crazy office mate.

4. Concept: Above and Under-Water Camera

Still just a concept, but this camera simultaneously records video above and below water.

via UberGizmo

5. Simplest Cell Phone

Its like a pager and cellphone combined! This has got to be the easiest and simplest cell phone out there (well, if you take into account all the things you CAN do with it despite its “simple” features). I think I have to get this for the bf.
