Billy Reid Spring 2011 Collection
My friend Laurel (K-Swiss‘ women’s creative director – holker!) was in town and invited me to join her and her colleague Ryan (K-Swiss’s awesome global marketing director whom I found out we have a ton of friends in common) to go to the Billy Reid Spring 2010 Preview show at Milk Studios. I vowed that I wouldn’t participate in any #NYFW festivities this season (because they’re always so damn stressful and I really can’t stand some of the “like, oh-em-gee! happy fashion week!” remarks), but I couldn’t say no to Laurel and plus, it was a MEN’S runway show… ooh – fucking – LA LA!
*Please note: this is not a runway show recap! It’s more like a drool fest.*
I also forgot to take an “outfit” pic, but this photographer got us… however, I couldn’t get a larger view because I had to be a member of his site and pay $10. No thanks! I was wearing my Hellz-Bellz “Complicated” Lace tank!!
Not only were the garments classy with Southern character (if I were a man, I would be broke because I would spend all my money on every piece… well, maybe not the high waisted joints… on men?!), but the models were ABSOLUTELY BEAUUUUTIFUL. There were moments when I totally would have written my contact info and reached out to put in their pocket (front pant pocket to be exact BAHAHAHHAA!).
From here on out, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…
THANK YOU LAUREL AND RYAN FOR INVITING ME.
Full Bleed Closing Party @ Milk Studios RECAP + PHOTOS
after the oakley x staple event at reedspace, i hopped into a cab and headed over to the west side to check out the full bleed closing party over at milk studios (ahem, thanks aly for the head’s up lol)
full bleed was a photo exhibition AND book paying homage to NYC’s skate legends – the ones who made new york a landmark and a skate mecca for, well, the world!
the homie alex corporan was one of the curators, alongside ivory serra and andre razo. photos by spike jonze, reda, craig wetherby, atiba, angela boatwright, and more. skateboarders featured included: steve olson, eric koston, huf, harold hunter, jerry hsu, vallely, the gonz, dill, jumanji and more.
it was awesome to see all these folks in one place, it made me miss working in the skate industry – no bullshit, just hanging out with great people…
great job alex lol!

pure AWESOMENESS.
let’s talk about lamb.
and how adorable gwen stefani is.
but first, the l.a.m.b. collection shown yesterday during fashion week. although there are a few pieces i could totally see myself wearing, i wasn’t too ooh’d and awe’d about some of the pieces we previewed. i AM diggin the jackets and what looks to be rompers or onesies… other than that, the collection was nothing more than punk rock ordinary?
**EDITOR’S UPDATE: i just checked out my homegirl wendy’s post on LAMB, she got way more photos up and i’m diggin way more styles. CLICK HERE TO NITROLICIOUS. she even met gwen – dangit!**
but back to gwen. LOVING HER FIT!!!! AND THE HAIR!!!! HEHEHEHE

i decided to share some photos of fashion week with you guys… just because i can.
so thanks to Racked, we were given a look into vena cava‘s runway show at MILK STUDIOS where it seems as all the “younger, hipper” brands are being showcased as well as last night’s soiree for anna sui’s target collection:
